There are "overhead line problems" between Peterborough and Grantham.

The 0800 and 0810 departures from King's Cross have got no further than Peterborough, however fortunately the 0804 Grand Central appears to have got through the problems.

Southbound trains appear to be getting through with lengthy delays.

the ECML needs re-wiring badly. Wasn't the demise of class 373s on the ECML to do with the juice wires?

Umm, no IIRC HSTs came available and GNER saw a cheaper lease, since the 373's had issues due to door position, door opening (and thus dwell times). Also, the 4 year lease was up, and SNCF (a Eurostar shareholder) wanted them for use in France.
