When you're suicidal, you're not thinking straight. You don't think rationally like everyone else is at the time.
You don't just decide hours in advance that you're going to go and jump in front of a specific train, often it's just be a spontaneous thing, done without any thought.
You can't just condemn someone for their actions when they aren't mentally stable.

No, it is left to the either the emergency services or/and the nominqted undertakers. Sometimes the RIO may help but very rarely.

As said, they're not mentally stable. Also, they are not thinking of other people. At all. They will put no thought into the disruption to other people their actions may cause.

It's a lot, lot more complicated than you think it is.

As to them coming out, we had to ask for their assistance last week to help clear up the platform.

? But it is 4 tracks for large areas, such as London - Huntingdon (bar the Welywn North bit), Peterborough - Grantham. Where was the breakdown as it guess it was in the south judging by the delays.

Had a look at the national rail site, it was at Retford at about 08:21, any 180's heading South about then?

So when you look at 4 tracking anyone who remembers the bad old days of BR would remember the HST's would have taken a little detour via Lincoln. Shame that route knowledge prevents this from happen now!

I thought they did have route knowledge of Lincoln still...

That's correct. I would suspect that not all NXEC crews sign Lincoln though, probably only a small number.

The did divert yes, Doncaster via lincoln then through to Peterboro to re-join the ECML.

Nope,good old natex again,MKIV with interlock problems near ranskill(north of retford)eventually moved into ranskill loop at 3mph !!! I got caught up in it but from Loversall we had a stormer(Thank you NR Control )only checked twice en route after that,grantham to allow a natex hst to get onto slow down stoke bank and stevenage where fcc is king !!! Eventually arriving KX just under 40 mins late

By the way, don't know who the driver was on Friday/Saturday night on the working booked via Hertford but they certainly were very happy, happy enough to give a few of my passengers a wave!
