Electric Trains being terminated at both York & Doncaster. A few HST’s in area will be interesting if they are diverted.
Cross Country appear to be diverting Colton junc. to Swinton junc.

It was announced at Doncaster that the 2028 to Edinburgh would be ‘diverted via Leeds’. Of course, it was a HST.

Sorry to harp on about my favorite subject Electrification but ...... if even partial trans Pennine electrification is done I.e Leeds to York and Selby this would not be a worry

How many of the new ECML trains will be bi-modes?
From the East Coast agreement from the DFT

These appear to be available train sets, 13 9 car and 10 5 car bimodes are being built

Today I believe 14 HST's are diagrammed each day

That area seems rather prone to flooding so wiring the route between York and Leeds sooner rather than later seems a very good idea.

Part of it is already electrified. It is only the section between Colton Jc. and Neville Hill that needs doing. It would of made sense to do it years ago.
