Am surprised not to of seen a thread regarding this, but due to a damaged Northern power grid pole the line between Doncaster and Wakefield has been closed to all traffic since yesterday afternoon, and the current eta for opening again is 18:00, was previously eta midday today.
The reason is the power grid lines run over the railway line and there is a danger of collapse.
Looking at the photos on Twitter as posted by David Horne, it looks like a piece of farm equipment had most likely hit the post.
LNER are running 1 bimode service per hour diverting via Hambleton or if not possible diverting to York, and the other service per hour is cancelled.
Northern’s Leeds to Doncaster looks to be running Wakefield.

Apologies for disruption if you are planning to travel on our @LNER Leeds ↔️ London King’s Cross services this morning. Due to damage to a Northern Power Grid pole carrying electricity cables which cross over the railway near #Adwick, the line between Wakefield Westgate and Doncaster is closed. To keep you moving, we are diverting as many of our Leeds services as we can but unfortunately 10 Leeds-London services each way will be cancelled this morning.
@Northpowergrid are on site making repairs and we’re hoping that the Leeds-Doncaster line will re-open later today so we can get services back to their normal route.
Our Edinburgh-London services via York are not affected by this incident.
