ECML Disruption - 11/09/24

ECML was shut in the St Neots area c. 1605-1700 due to a trespass incident with consequential delays.
For clarification I was not caught up in this - merely noticed a queue of stationary trains on Railcam track diagrams and could see that there would be an impact on subsequent journeys ex Kings Cross at a busy time due to lateness of incoming trains and likely platform congestion.

Lines have reopened following a trespass incident on the railway between Peterborough and Stevenage. Trains may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 40 minutes or revised.

Disruption is expected until 20:30.

Yeah I was at St Neots, someone was sitting on the tracks a mile or so to the south of the station. Network Rail and some people in yellow hi vis (police and/or ambulance, I'm not sure) were there.

Saw the Eleanor liveried LNER train stop at St Neots for a few minutes, no door release though.
