When will the passenger trains start running from Wirksworth to Duffield?

When they start running the service I will try it out.

They are hoping to get it done sometime next year. I forget the actual date.

I was there last weekend for their very good gala. I was speaking to some of the volunteers and it seems that they are wanting to get the railway inspector in asap. Aparenlty all thge track is laid, and its only the platform at Duffield that needs finishing.

Like the above post, it will open next year, but there are wanting to get it open before xmas this year.

Once they can run from Duffield, particularly next Christmas's Santa Specials should be good for the funds.

There is still an amount of track work between Shottle and Duffield - like trees growing out of the track apparently. The inspector walked the line sometime last week.
