EC Lounge Pass

Hi all,

Just a quick question about the lounge pass on EC.

I am going from KX to Hull via Doncaster. I am coming from a flight so i will have around a hour wait in KX and a 20 min wait in Doncaster.

If I redeem some points for a lounge pass can I use the lounge in KX before my journey and the lounge in Doncaster 2 hours later?

Indeed you can, I've just redeemed points for one myself and still had the Ts & Cs up on the screen:

Terms and Conditions

The Rewards One-Day East Coast First Class Lounge Pass is valid only on the date selected and specified on the Pass. No changes can be made after redemption.

The pass entitles the holder to entry into the following East Coast First Class Lounges: London King's Cross, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh Waverley, Berwick-upon-Tweed, Darlington, Wakefield Westgate and Doncaster.

The Pass may be used more than once and in more than one Lounge, on the specified date.

This reward cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash or re-sold.

The Pass can be presented in printed or electronic format.

The holder of the Pass does not have to be travelling with East Coast, and a valid train ticket is not required. The holder only has to present their Pass to a member of the East Coast First Class Lounge team to gain access.

Yes, the lounge pass redeemed from reward points can be used multiple times on the day and in different lounges.

My experience of the Doncaster lounge early last year (it may have changed since) is that you sometimes have to press the entry buzzer several times before somone gives you access.

Regarding Doncaster lounge, in my experience, it can be quicker to find a member of platform staff and ask them to let you in rather than wait for the buzzer to be answered
