Is there any where running a normal service on Monday?

Stagecoach East Scotland
Stagecoach West Scotland
Stagecoach Bluebird/Highland
Border buses

Are all running a normal Monday service, Certain areas the school are open.

First and Lothian are doing a Saturyday service which is near enough a full service. Anywhere else got a normal service?

I assume that's a Scotland thing and it isn't recognised as a bank holiday there?

Up until 1996 Easter Monday was never a public holiday. When the Scottish banks switched the holidays to mirror England, only the big citys really made the switch. Scotland still get more holidays compared to England.

You can see where each area gets a holiday
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_and_bank_holidays_in_Scotland

Since there no trading law etc everything mainly opened anyways, and a few banks are still open in Late august bank holiday in Edinburgh because of the Festival, also all schools are open that Monday. :o

But note a Bank Holiday in Scotland is a bank holiday and not a public holiday.

I can't see any changes for Bluebird. When I tried to plan a journey for Monday, their website warned me of alterations on Mayday, but didn't mention anything about Easter.

According to Traveline Scotland, Stagecoach Bluebird is operating a normal service on April 17 and to use their journey planner. Could be why there is no changes shown on the Stagecoach Bluebird site.

From my experience of living and working in the north east of Scotland, at least from 1972 the only days Northern, Northern Scottish and Stagecoach Bluebird operate(d) special holiday services are over the Christmas/New Year holiday and May Day. On all other public holidays a Monday to Friday or Monday to Friday non school days service are operated.

On April 17 it a PUBLIC holiday in Aberdeen but in Elgin and Fraserburgh the public holiday was on April 10 and in it was on Peterhead, Banchory, Stonehaven it was on April 3.

Hence the reason for Stagecoach Bluebird not reducing or amending bus services.

Here in Yate, the council supported Stagecoach services (84,85, 86 and 620) were all operating on Good Friday.

However the First services to Bristol and Southmead all appeared to be operating to their Sunday timetable.

Am pretty sure those supported services have never operated on a bank holiday before. Does anyone know, would South Gloucestershire Council have paid Stagecoach to run them or did Stagecoach choose to run them commercially whereas previously Wessex didn't?
