Easter - Moveable feast

They could use video confermecing to avoid the need to meet in person.

I'm not bothered about Easter being a moveable feast though.

Religious bodies can put our special days when we like. The government can put the bank holidays when it likes. The two don't have to coincide. Christians still mark Pentecost seven weeks after Easter even though the Whitsun bank holiday is fixed. I am a Christian minister and actually I would much prefer a fixed Easter, both our special days and the bank holidays.

Far easier just to decouple the religious festivals from public holidays.

Not me personally, but governments can. If the events that are said to have occurred at Easter actually occurred, they did so on a particular date (just as those at Christmas must have). Christmas does not move according to phases of the moon and there is no reason for Easter to do so. In any case, some religions still adhere to the Julian calendar for the calculation of Easter and so the dates with most of the rest of the world don't tie up anyway. The world has moved on (in real life if not in some religious circles) and it's about time to put this nonsense to bed. Those of a religious disposition can still celebrate their Easter whenever they want.

Well they can have theirs in December and we can have ours in June.
