Easter FGW HSTs to Waterloo?

Does anybody know any of the details for the FGW HST diversions up to Waterloo that (I believe) are occurring over the Easter period?

It was such good fun Westbury-Waterloo over the Christmas period that I thought I might just treat myself a second time, seeing as it is unlikely that HSTs will reach Waterloo again for some considerable time!

As far as I know, there are no diversions to London Waterloo over easter Whoever told you there was clearly is not as reliable source as you think!

You may be getting confused with the services between London and the Westcountry that are being diverted via Bristol, due to engineering works between Castle Cary and Taunton, featuring non-stop trains between Reading and Bristol.

That's interesting that you say that.. I was taking my information from one of the leaflets published by Network Rail/FGW etc. around Christmas - it gave the exact details of the Christmas diversions and then stated that a similar state of affairs would exist over the Easter period!

To be honest, I wasn't really sure at all if the diversions would be happening anyway! Having found nothing on the internet to help with my query I thought that if I posted here someone would be able to help me out - as indeed you have! Thanks!

Network Rail's published plans (Rules of the Route for 2011, renamed as the Engineering Access Statement for 2012) don't show any total blockades of the Reading station area.

There are a number of occasions when either the mains or reliefs are blocked, and the 'Southern' platforms are out of use many times this year, but that's all.

I expect that unless something spectacular has to be done to the signalling in the entire area at once, like last Christmas, another blockade with major diversions is highly unlikely.
