on Eastenders just now a single deck bus has just turned up... you see the bus there on the set.... so how comes it sounded like an AEC engined Routemaster?

Having seen films and TV shows with British Rail double arrows on wartime trains and British Railways branding on a journey in the 1890s I think that these sound effects come pretty low on the list of bloopers.

Thats because the so called programme researchers, think they know it all and are too lazy to do any research.

They could have borrowed an RT from Ensignbus 'down the road' and seen whether Sir Cliff might come out of retirement.

It's more that tiny little details like that don't matter to the production.

A historical epic where Mark Antony is wearing Nike trainers, yup, that's proof they don't care. Trains are notoriously expensive to repaint... and a lot of productions can't afford the costs involved

Massive nit-picking, but, first few seconds of Prime Suspect 1973 tonight - modern rear lights on the Routemaster... surely there are enough preserved with correct period parts?
