I booked two advance tickets (return to Birmingham from London for Saturday) last night on eastcoast.com

I tried to collect them this morning at Cheshunt and at Liverpool St. The machine stated there was nothing under that reference number.

I queued up at the ticket office at Liverpool St and the chap said the same.

I called eastcoast who informed me that the system was down and it would probably be fixed later.

It would be nice if there was communication between the parties.

The lady on the phone (presuming the tickets were required for today) said just to get on the train with my email confirmation.

That could have been an interesting conversation!

I had TOD failure this morning on Southern, following a booking last night. Co-incidence or a national failure?

Well this morning at Cheshunt I got two other booking references to work so I assumed as they were east coast journeys that it was connected to the fact the third was for a Virgin train.

I believe East Midlands Trains also had a problem yesterday, so sounds like a national outage
