Eastbourne to Bexhill disruption today (14/5)

Service decimated after a power surge appears to have damaged the signalling system.


It seems to be taking an age to fix and the buses in the Eastbourne area are jammed for people trying to head east, even though there is no ticket acceptance by Stagecoach towards the Coastway East.

Southern's website states: Due to a failure of the electricity supply between Eastbourne and Bexhill all lines are currently closed. As a result, trains running between these stations may be cancelled or revised. (my emphasis)
