Eastbourne Station.

Does anyone out there know why there has been an ex SWT Class 442 sitting in Eastbourne station for the last few weeks?

Its for the new extended Gatwick Express (to Brighton, with peak flow) services starting in a few weeks time.
They are being road trained to Eastbourne in case they are required to do so.
A GatEx driver did say that there would be one 442 coming from Eastbourne but don't know how accurate that is.

Quite why its been there for so long, I don't know!
