Eastbourne/Ore services at East Croydon.

I have been wondering this for quite a while now: How come Eastbourne services at East Croydon were the only southbound services to use Platform 2 (primarily a northbound platform used by Thameslink services) and how come they didn’t utilise Platform 3 in accordance with other fast Thameslink/Southern services?

In addition, it appears the Eastbourne services have been put back on P3, but I m stop confused why they went on P2 for quite a while?

They all looked booked on Platform 3 normally? Platform 2 looks like there was disruption today.

Yes I have realised this and have since edited my post. But they were on P2 for a while, before the December timetable change.
