Eastbourne Depot Southern

Hi, is there any southern drivers at the Eastbourne depot, or possibly Brighton depot on here?. Im a newly qualified driver, and I have been looking at the possibilities of moving down to the coast, 15 mins from Eastbourne depot. I’m currently at a London TOC, and would like to stay here for a couple of years at least for the experience, but I am thinking to buy a house down East Sussex way, with the intention to move down in few years. I cannot find much info, on the Eastbourne depot, online, so if there are any drivers on here, could you let me know some information about the depot I.e, traction or traction’s that are required to drive, what routes does a driver need to sign, is the depot at full capacity or are there always vacancies, what are the diagrams like with workload. Just some general information will be a great help for me and I appreciate it very much.

As per my thread on drivers depots, Eastbourne have the following:

Eastbourne
Traction:
313,377,171 (Link 1 only)
Routes:
Brighton - Ore
Lewes - Seaford
Lewes - London Victoria
East Croydon - London Bridge
Ore - Ashford link 1 only

I'm sure I remember reading at some point in the past it was very much a Deadmans shoes depot, but that might well have changed by now, or I might just be getting mixed up with the towns reputation for being the nation's nursing home

Eastbourne tends to be filled with internal Qualifieds especially from Brighton. Southern did advertise for Qualifieds at coastal depots in 2019 but it's pretty rare. Recently they advertised for trainees only. Southeastern has a depot at Hastings.

Edit the easiest route pre Covid was to apply to be a Gatwick Express Driver at Victoria then do an internal transfer to Eastbourne

Thanks for the info, Eastbourne seems like a bit of a hard depot to get into then. Any info on the Brighton depot. I have checked out craigybagels post on the depot and traction is the same as Eastbourne. I actually drive on some of the same route as southern at the moment.
