East West Rail progress

I have found the weekly reports of progress on GWEP a good read, enjoyed tracking the thread as the wires have moved westwards.I t would be great to have a similar one for Oxford-Cambridge, after all it's been a couple of years now since the go-ahead politically. It's moving fast.. The grass keeps growing..

I read that things were supposed to be underway by now, perhaps a political delay now?

Here goes:

Bicester Village - Claydon Jct:

Claydon Jct - Bletchley

• Flyover parapets removed - August 2019
• No progress

Bletchley - Bedford:

• No progress

Bedford - Cambridge

• No progress

EWR Phase 2 TWAO

• Submission of inspectors report to DfT - September 2019

Expect to hear some formal scope announcements around the time the DfT SoS makes the Phase 2 Order.

Please note that Bedford to Cambridge is a later phase, and they’re still deciding on a route.
