Hello everyone, first post and I used the search function first to no avail hence my question...

Can anyone tell me about EMT and the possibilities of a trainee driver position? As in when it was last advertised and if its known when they may do so again? I live in Lincolnshire not too far from Nottingham and Derby and recently passed a full assessment day and MMI to a 'high standard' (thats all the staff would reveal) with another TOC (due to having another house elsewhere).

Is it the norm to be a depot driver first or do they recruit straight to main line? Also what sort of waiting times have people experienced in a talent pool?

Many thanks in advance...

Usual route with EMT is to start as a depot driver which then has a progression through to mainline which isn't guaranteed but is likely

The last time they advertised for depot drivers was back in April I think, and they have advertised the last couple of years. I believe they do need new drivers due to Sundays becoming part of the working week and having a more regular time table, although I believe they filled a lot of those positions with redundant freight men and the last 2 recruitment drives

Chances could be good for early next year but there is no guarantee, id just sign up to their job alerts.
