Hi folks, I'm doing a Lincolnshire Day Ranger on Saturday and I require 2 153s and a fair few 156s and 158s. Can anyone help out with diagrams so I can avoid have the same units twice? I'm also looking to do the bit of curve at Gonerby(?) that avoids Grantham but I think I've worked out a plan for that.

Any help, advice, etc would be appreciated

0955 from Nottingham, 1730 and 2102 from Skegness are the ones which operate direct between Sleaford and Nottingham without going via the Allington Curve to reach Grantham. In terms of unit diagrams it's probably easier on the day concerned, Lincolnshire diagrams are a bit complicated as everything except the Skegness and Leicester services interwork to some degree.

Often wondered, why do those trains not go via Grantham?

Franchise commitment as well as maintaining a service over the connection? Two of them are at obvious day excursion times, and it saves 20 minutes or so each way. Suspect the late one is operational convenience but I await correction.
When trains used the Barkston Jn connection there was also the problem of using the ECML, which is why the new curve at Allington was built.
