Tried registering with the East Midlands Trains web site. They had problems with the my proposed password. East Midlands Trains web site not sending a password reset link, despite repeated requests.

Tried calling the their web support phone. You get a ring tone, then an option, then it goes engaged. Rubbish !

Called customer relations. You end up leaving a message and waiting for them to call back. Rubbish !

Emailed their getintouch e-address. They "hope" to get back to me within 10 days. I "hope" they get back to me now. Rubbish !

East Midlands Trains is run by Stagecoach group. I have opinions about the company and its owners.

If I have to travel on their services, I'll book tickets using another company's web site.

Do others here think EMT has poor customer relations ?

I have never used their website or their trains, as far as I can remember! But I have to ask, why were you trying to register with their website if you have issues with Stagecaoach and prefer to use other TOC's websites to buy tickets?

I don' see the point of people registering for every TOCs website, unless each website gives special offers only available there. I use East Coast and no others, it has always worked fine for me.

Never had any problems with EMT website, staff, customer services or any other part of the company. When travelling with EMT I always book through their website, and find the site very easy to use.

Maybe you should just put your experience down to bad luck.

Do you have to register to buy tickets? I think I registered with the FGW one once, but I don;t think I've done it with any of the others as I have to type my address in every time. .

I'm not too sure about other TOCs as I never use them, but I registered when it was NXEC and got shifted over to EC when it changed. It may be the case that with some you don't have to register, but I've heard of people who register with 3,4 or 5 different TOCs as they don't realise you can get the same tickets (in general) from just one.
