East Midlands Trains application

I have noticed East Midlands Trains are advertising for Train Drivers but it states send in a blind application with no personal details.I assumed this means no personal details like name address etc. Silly question then poss lol how they suppose to contact you then to inform you of the out come or is it linked to when to sign in they just know your email address.Do any one know is this the norm these days lol

When they say it's a blind application it means the people assessing the applications can't see your name, age or gender to make it fair as possible and totally unbiased. On the application form you will still need enter all those details and they will be intouch through email

How do they know if people are re applying before six months etc. Just wondered.

You would still need to enter all your basic information like name, address and national insurance number. They would use this to check if you applied in the previous 6 months

Lol but it states leave your personal info off your application.I just find/think that’s a new one on me with job applications.

Hi there The One,

As Scout-scott mentioned, you should fill in the full online application with your personal details, but the CV and cover letter which you attach to your form should have no personal details.

Your CV and Cover Letter will form part of the initial sift, and separated from your main application, which is why they don’t have details on them, and then rejoined with your application after.
