I think it's quite reasonable. It's the 1 day version that is very expensive and a much reduced area of validity.

With Friends and Family it was only £77.
I then had to buy returns to get to the zone (New Mills Central or Stoke-on-Trent) from Manchester each day, so it worked out just over a ton for 1,257 miles and three good days out.

Some good moves there ,need to do a East mids soon as i need to go and sample the class 230s on the bedford-blecthley line (was going to do one in the next couple of weeks but the northern 10p sale trips will be keeping me occupied

I had originally put in a WMCL to Bletchley, over to Beds and then back up the MML, but the Midland was closed south of Market Harborough and I didn't really fancy the bus replacement from Bedford.
