East Midlands Parkway parking

Not quite sure where to ask this, but does anyone have experience of East Midlands Parkway? If I book a journey from there can I be fairly confident of finding a parking spot mid-morning on a Thursday?

I have used it a fair few times to change from Sheffield to London trains onto the ivanhoe line (I prefer it to Loughborough because the southbound train can be held outside Loughborough to let the northbound depart) and I would say the car park is at best 75% full. It certainly looked more full the last time I was there (September) than it did when I first went there.

Always strikes me as a pretty decent station, odd that it is so desserted really.

Hi,
I use East Midlands Parkway reasonably often. I have never had a problem finding a space in the car park.

I'm sure you will have a wide choice of spaces to choose from.

agree with apx068, as a new station its built with a lot of spare capacity for future demand increase, there are generally lots of spare spaces.

you will have no problem.

Ive used the station a few times and there is plenty of parking at the station, rather more than the usage demands at the moment.

also

a nicely designed station imho.
