East London Line

I've just heard that they (tfl) have thought extending the East London Line north-west to Willesden Junction.
Has anybody got more information about this?

I thought that they were going to link it to the North London Line, and south of the river to some other line to make an outer circle line

Not really, it will be extended to Dalston Jn. Apparantly the ELL could join the NLL at Eastern Jn.
The line will close in December to allow upgrade works to take place.
Last Upgrade works were in the Mid 90s.

It will go down to Clapham, where you can join the West London Line. From there you can travel to Willesden where you can join the NLL, therefore that's how the circle works to the south-west.

Therefore comes the name of orbirail (orbit) that will be given to the overground rail.
