Does anyone know when the derelict parcels office by East Croydon station will be demolished? Looks an eyesore

There is also a derelict multi storey car park on the left hand side of the up line on the south side of the station. Appears to be an old office complex. Another eyesore. There is some graffiti which states 'The good times roll' that has been there a long time!

I am very interested in developments and architecture in general. There is a building overlooking East Croydon that is white and a very distinctive angled shape. Would this be a listed building?

The new flats by East Croydon creep me out... They remind me of a prison with their balconies. However they sell for 500k plus I believe !

That'll be an office block called One Croydon assuming you mean the one with each floor offset from the other; it's not listed - someone tried to get it listed recently but the application was turned down.

Do you mean this building? Known locally as the thrupenny bit.

That's the same one I'm talking about isn't it? :)

Oh right, I've always known it as the thru 'penny bit.

The former post office certainly is an eyesore and I'm surprised that the Porter and Sorter pub is still open.

Flats that look like prisons seem to be the in thing, other examples at the former Catford dog track and at Bell Green in Sydenham. Getting back to Croydon, the flats on the site of the former Black Horse pub in Addiscombe look like something from Legoland!
