East Coastway route knowledge?

I have known there to be some Southeastern 375's via Eastbourne in the past.....

Can anyone tell me how often Southeastern drivers keep up route knowledge via Eastbourne????

In my time working for southern the only south eastern 375 I've ever seen out side of their normal working pattern was one we borrowed from them about 4 years ago, when we were short of stock having had to hand over our new 377's to FCC. I've also never seen a SE driver, or staff at Eastbourne. So with 99.9% I can say, the answer to your question is, never and none.

As Sarah says it was linked to when the 377/5 were late and the KO0 timetable had to be implemented. As a result there was stock cascades with London Midland, Southern, Southeastern and FCC along with one of the freight companies helping out too.

Southern got 3x 375 for a daily round trip to London Bridge which Southern berthed, likely this was during that period as the stock got rotated and I'm sure it went via West Coastway for maintenance.

I think the last time this occured was when the Hastings Line was blocked by a freight loco derailment at Robertsbridge in April 2012. The 375s were driven by a Southeastern driver with a Southern Conductor between Hastings and London Bridge.

I have seen a South Eastern train passing through the junction between Norwood Junction and East Croydon fairly recently.

Think I may have posted on here about it. I believe there were problems on the Tonbridge to London Bridge line that day so I assume it was going to Tonbridge via Redhill. Don't know who was driving it though!

That's a fairly regular thing with planned engineering works. 375 used to be a regular at East Croydon.

Whenever the mainline via Orpington is blocked the Hastings to Charing Cross services are diverted via Redhill, it happens all the time.

Thanks for the responses folks. I certainly haven't seen any 375's at Eastbourne recently, but as Paul quite rightly pointed out there were some when the Hastings/Tonbridge line was blocked by a freight loco....

I am aware SE 375's go via the Redhill-Tonbridge line on a regular basis.
