Hi according to wiki class 91s/mk4s to be repainted into a 'silver lines' livery which can be (supposedly) integrated into any potential franchise winner's livery. Work to start this year on overhaul

For once, I do believe that's right as Elaine Holt got interviewed in the newest issue of Rail News and I'm sure she did mention something like that with the East Coast stock having a basic livery but just have the new operator place their name as a vinyl half way along the coach as FCC did to the 365s when in the NSE livery.

I might be wrong but the interview was interesting as always!

Is that by any chance the same as NX (started to) paint the stock into? Obviously minus the NX branding, logos and so on.

I quite like that livery, quite smart. Shame the franchise was so shortly lived.

It will be nice to see them in something uniform. They seem quite messy at the moment. In half ex GNER livery. I'm not saying that livery was messy, I liked the GNER livery. But at the moment its a bit all over the place, some in NX white/silver, others in half GNER with that random white stripe. A little all over the place.

Agreed, one of the best liveries is the Grand Central one - it hides the dirt easier!

True, the white does show up the dirt alot more. Which means it would naturaly needed to be cleaned alot more.

But, we can give that job to all the hooligans that graffiti the trains. What better punishment than making them scrub clean the trains
