... anyone having trouble getting onto their website this morning? Are they overwhelmed by people looking at the site on the first day of the new timetable?

Hardly, MCR247.. it's only down on very rare occasions, and even then it's probably only due to the mass of stuff being uploaded onto it, as well as increased demand from people trying to view it!

It is not, I often see the error page with the red title. Can't remember what it says though...

I can definately say that it is down more than EMTs, as those are the two websites I'm on most

I've never seen that error before, until I clicked the above link, but it is very slow every time I use it. Ordering a ticket can take ages, and I have no faith in it going through if I try to do it on my mobile or a laptop when on the move.

It would be nice if they made a nice mobile-friendly site (using CSS, not the stupid way FCC did their one) or had an app to buy tickets - so I wouldn't have to use thetrainline.con

Must admit I've never had any problems with the site no matter where I am.. perhaps it's a browser issue? As for FCC's lovely mobile site - don't get me started..

Is it me or does the trainline not make you any savings at all? I've checked the prices on numerous occasions and I could've sworn that this whole malarky about saving 43% is just plain nonsense!

This saving is based on the comparison between "turn up" fares on the day of travel and the cheapest fare purchased online (typically before 18:00 the day before travel)

I doubt there would be any saving (in fact there would probably be an additional cost) if purchasing a fare on the day of travel, the ticket would be cheaper from the station or on-board
