East Coast Trains Sat 9th October

East Coast Trains are diverted on Saturdays 9 & 16 Oct.

I was wondering if anyone could confirm that the 11:30 or 12:30 Dep from Kings Cross will be diverted via Spalding on Sat 9th October.

Am I correct to assume that the services will call Peterborough then divert via Spalding, Sleaford, Lincoln, Gainsborough Lea Road then call Doncaster.


Just thought I ask before booking.

Yes, both trains will be diverted and yes, you've got the diversionary route correct. And just for extra information they will both be HSTs.

What about the 1339 from Doncaster to London? It takes over two hours from Newark to Peterborough. Which way does that go?

If that's 91 hauled then booked route to Newark Northgate then reverse to gain the GN/GE joint line via Lincoln and Spalding then onto Peterborough where the 67 comes off the train and the 91 continues on it's way but if it it's a HST then it runs the full length of the GN/GE joint line between Doncaster and Peterborough via Lincoln and Spalding.
