Ok so my team have just been drawn away at Blythe Spartans in the FA Cup.

Short notice means expensive tickets, from. London it is £126 Super Off Peak returns, singles being only a couple of pounds cheaper.

I've just gone to the east coast rewards site as I have 611 points so can get two second class singles.

However I have reached a page where I have to redeem and cannot go back. What happens next and can I be sure of finding a train that I will be able to use them on?

You can't buy points, but e-vouchers accrue points.

They also do an online off peak single with 50% discount.

Another trick for cheap advances to London is to specify via St Neots. It involves changing to Great Northern at Peterborough but can save sometimes.

Couldn't see anything under £60 odd single on their web site.

Might be worth looking if Grand Central have any advances to Northallerton, and then either advances or a return the rest of the way.

Yes, the £125 Super Off-Peak Single is reduced to £62.90 if bought online at East Coast. It may be best to use Rewards points in one direction and a £62.90 Super Off-Peak Single Super Off-Peak Single for the other direction.

But are you sure it's safe to book? The BBC tells me "Ties to be played on 7, 8, 9, 10 November 2014."
