This one's a bit odd - there are currently £10/£11 ticket offers with vouchers from both the Evening Gazette and Evening Chronicle.

However, you can't reserve a seat in the quiet coach with these tickets, either in standard or first. There is no problem with ordinary Advance tickets, it's just the offer ones.
Any ideas why that might be?

Maybe because they have a quota of seats allocated, and none is in the quiet coach. Don't know, just a guess.

Because there's no such thing as a quiet Geordie? ;)

Ha, good one :) What about Smoggies though?

Might just be confined to that train? Don't think the offer should be any different to any other purchase. Never seen it mentioned in the literature produced by EC either.

they do seem to have an entirely separate allocation of tickets. For the services I checked, (standard class) offer tickets all go into coach D, regular tickets go into coach E, or B if quiet was selected.
