My mum and I are travelling from Kings Cross to Doncaster and back on Saturday (as are many other people ;)) I am considering redeeming East Coast reward points for first class lounge passes for us. I notice the site does not allow you to purchase two passes in one transaction nor to enter a name of the user, and that the passes are marked non-transferable.

If I order two passes in separate transactions, is this likely to present a problem?

I can't imagine it being an issue. I've never done it quite like this myself, but I have redeemed points for passes which were for other people and never had a problem.

Well, it's actually straightforward. After I chose to redeem there was a slot to type in the name and date.

Having had an annual one which ran out last month with my name and signature and warning to carry additional ID all on the back, I was never asked for ID. Throughness of checking of the pass varied (and probably lessened as more of the staff recognised me) with my visits to the the new lounge at Wakefield seeing no checks at all (but a dirty look from a woman who I'm guessing assumed I shouldn't be in there).
