....Which is exactly what I will be doing, as I do for the football, cricket and any other show that I want to watch, yet cannot be bothered to pay for!
I watch the shows using my PC. Point of Information - I think there is a limit on the number of Apple / Android devices you can tie to one Sky Go account.
Two, or four if you have Sky Go Extra (with the ability to download).
And you can only change one device in any month, so that means you can't swap them around however you like.

Just watched the programme on channel 889 (I'm a Sky member of staff so we get previews from time to time!). Decent enough way to spend an hour!
Kinda follows in the footsteps of the FGW series on Ch5, it follows members of staff as they deal with problems, etc.
If anyone has any questions, let me know!

I remember now-the TM that didn't take any s**t on the last train back to Swansea?
2 possibilities here as far as I can tell.
If we're talking about Train Managers then nope, none so far.
If we're talking about ladies that are easy on the eye, then surely that's down to individual taste! Lol.
Now I think about it, the vast majority of people they followed were male-main exception being a lady that worked at York that ventured onto the track to retrieve a dropped bag.

Not really. Goes a little something like this.
Step 1. Hairdresser puts her bag on top of her case on the platform at York.
Step 2. Said bag falls onto running line at York.
Step 3. Aforementioned member of staff at York stops movements and retrieves said bag.
Step 4. Said member of staff at York reunites hairdresser with said bag.
Step 5. Sensationalness over.

Aye thats the one... the latter of the possibilities was what I was getting at
Given that (although I have no statistics to back this up) the railways are a male dominated industry, you'd think a TV crew/director might choose to highlight an easy on the eye lady if they spot one.

episode 1 is on Sky Go now as a preview, just watching right now
It reminds me a little of the shortlived east coast branding post Intercity, pre GNER, albeit it never made it on a train.

Those not sure what it looks like, the Video 125 logo looks very similar, and indeed I believe they got permission from British Rail Board to use it as their logo!

I've known Jody for a long time, but she's actually based in Cardiff.
Also I did say to her after I watched the program that she never showed her chest whilst working trains.
After a recent interview with East Coast. If they filmed some of the ladies from HR then that will be one to watch... Jaw dropping gorgeous!

I've looked for it, but can't seem to find it. Basically, its what the Video 125 logo is, just it says "East Coast" instead. Seen pictures of it in old magazines, but can't find it online...so far.

Just seen the preview. Really do like it, just the over-use of songs does my head in a bit but I can live with it.
Just started watching this on preview (Sky On Demand) and isn't it narrated by Richard Wilson, the very man that voiced a rather nasty attack on the railway for Channel 4 (I seem to recall) and didn't have much good to say?
So far it seems that the offer of some cash to narrate this has changed his mind somewhat. In fact, unlike the FGW one, this seems like much more of an advert for EC.
It's still downloading, but I am wondering if they'll be struggling to find good stuff to fill ten episodes if they've started with a rather unfunny story about a man wanting poached eggs.
I hope it gets better!

Seems rather desperate and there's lots of padding and repeated footage, rather like I expected from the Channel 5 one.
It's all about the people, sure, but I'm not seeing the first lot as having much interesting to say - and usually first episodes have the best things to get you interested.

I would't hold my breath on it getting much better, 10 hours (or whatever it is minus adverts is far too much). I'm only going to give it go because I work for them. I lost interest in the FGW one early on.
I thought the FGW still had a few interesting things and went into more depth than I'd have expected. Despite the continuity issues, it really did seem to show much more than simply what FGW does.
The Sky one seems to be very dumbed down, not really going into any level of depth whatsoever. When you have a section about celebrities, and many of said celebrities being filmed (and even if they're trying to pretend they've not been noticed, they clearly have) then you begin to wonder how much else is set up. I mean, was the bag dropped on the track deliberately, for example?
What is good (but somewhat OTT as if it's a paid-for advertorial for East Coast) is that when something goes wrong, Richard Wilson - one minute lambasting the railway for loads of things - is really defending the railway. And we haven't seen or heard loads of people complaining - in fact, in episode one, it appears as if everyone was quite happy
I did like the man who helped clean the train and pointed out the state it was left in by others, and referring to airlines not tolerating such a thing.
Anyway, it's only one episode of ten, and despite having repeat shots of the same group on a hen night and loads of other repeated stuff (as well as what I'm sure was a swap from an HST to Mk4 to HST - the first continuity error?), it might get better.
I would have just expected much more from the first show - especially if Sky put it out as a preview on Sky Go and On Demand.
The problem is that Sky seems to have done it all about the people, so I'm not sure we'll get much more on anything other than more rather mundane stories and anecdotes. There's loads of establishing shots and music that is just padding, and without ads on On Demand it was only 43 minutes as it was.
Take out the padding and it's probably going to be nearer 30. Yes, I know most TV is like that - but.. well, I've said my opinion and now it's over to others to share their opinions that might differ greatly!

I hope it will be put up on Youtube. I have Virgin on the TV with Sky 1 but finding the time to watch it when no-one else is could prove difficult!
From what I've been hearing it has actually been really good. But it is all about the people and not really about the actual railways as such.

I never thought I'd accuse Channel Five of producing a high quality programme, but compared to this "trash" their effort was positively award winning material.
As for that hypocrite Wilson narrating , quite galling really. Has he made any public comment about one minute slating the Railway on Channel Four and the next accepting Wonga for an East Coast Promotional Film ?
