I've just been looking at the East Coast website.

From what I can see there will be diversions between Newark and Doncaster in Feb...

Presumably via Boultham and Pyewipe juncs (avoiding Lincoln). :)

...and between Stevenage and Peterborough via March in March. ;)

:D

I don't think there are any drags but haven't looked in detail yet; East Coast have decided to be helpful and not show which are 225s/125s.

I'm sure I won't be the only one hoping to try them - EC diversions became a habit for me for the last few months but I've never been on a Cambridge one.

There is level crossing replacement work going on in at weekends in February between Doncaster and Newark, but looks as if there will be HSTs on services on diversionary routes. Some services are terminating short at York, which I guess will be people travelling further north will go onto a 225 for the rest of the journey.

and prisumably some HSTS wil run streight through on the likes of the INV/ABD runs.

Love it when theres work on the NCL EDB Stretch as theres a great day out bashing to be had - EDB>CAR on the first VT Service, CAR>NCL on the 10:28 Northern Pacer then NCL>EDB on the EC HST Running0via Tyne Valley and WCML.

Sometimes do the same but with0Northern to and from CAR but the HST all the way home means a longer sesh can be had in newcastles finest spoons before going home! :)

Got a link to the diversion information?

May take this in on a 25 quid First Class offer....

I still need to do the drags between Peterborough and Newark Northgate via Lincoln but equally as important, I need to do Hitchin to Peterborough via March as a diversionary route.

Thanks to the OP for the heads up, :)

Looks as if there is quite a bit of work going on in weekends for EC in 2012. Managed to get in a £25 1st class run from Aberdeen to KGX when these diverts are on.
