Erm, if you had been within 20 miles of the epicenter (like myself and Jordy), your thoughts and comments would be completely different.
Obviously you didn't wake up being flung from one side of the bed to the other, then onto the floor, (yes, that happened to me.) What about watching all the furniture shake and bang into other bits? You didn't hear the noise and think "Oh s**t, there's a jet on final approach to my bedroom!"
Also, I take it you didn't have to drive to work dodging branches that have fallen of trees during the earthquake....
Your attitude seems to be, "It didn't happen in St Albans, so it can't be important." You were the same during the floods and storms last year. Perhaps when something happens again up North, you should visit the area to see how people have been affected. Until then, keep your smart arse comments to yourself and grow up....
