On Wednesday 18 May, I'm planning to travel from Derby to Cambridge. I've booked a ticket on the first service (departing DBY 06:02), with changes at East Midlands Parkway and Ely. Having looked at Real Time Trains, it seems that the EMD-ELY part of the journey is via East Midlands Railway, on the Nottingham to Norwich train that goes via Oakham instead of Grantham. RTT shows this train running from the timetable change on 16 May onward, but not before; however there is no sign of this train in the official EMR timetable. Does anyone know if this train likely to run - or should I just ask EMR themselves?

That particular Nottingham-Norwich service was one of the trains temporarily removed last year. It always did run before & resumes along with its 09:55 Norwich-Liverpool return working with the Summer timetable.

That particular train (dep Not 0607h, EMD 0620h; arr ELY 0816h) is not in the pdf timetable for May 22 on the EMR website here: https://www.eastmidlandsrailway.co....VPrWxv-bk/emr_timetable2_livnrw_may22_web.pdf

But it does show up on the EMR booking engine, and this is supposed to be the definitive version.

Hopefully they will update the pdf timetable before it goes live on 16 May. Personally I would use the booking engine to print off a paper copy of the journey that you plan to make, so that you have something in writing if things go wrong on the day.

If the pdf timetable is not updated before it goes live, I would check with EMR directly. Or use RTT to check that is does actually run on 16 and 17 May.

1L02 hasn't run for quite a while. As others have said, check with EMR to see if it is reinstated post May timetable change.

It is in the traincrew diagrams so I assume it is missing as an oversight.

Thank you. That is reassuring. I'll keep an eye on RTT on Monday 16th but it sounds like it's an accidental omission in the PDF timetable.
