Eaglescliffe has been a great success for GC. There is always a good amount of passengers boarding for services to London, plus the good connections with Middlesborough. If you look at the 2010 Station Usage Figures, NR says a 20% rise in usage of the station was because of the introduction of GC's fourth path...

I have often wondered why GC were not able to run into Boro and then out south. I know reversal is a pain in the bum but is there another reason. Will the trains not fit into the Boro? Are there no paths between hartburn Junction/stockton cut junction and the Boro?
