Morning,

Is anyone else travelling this morning using an e ticket? I have a month season ticket on the Trainline app and it won't open... It's my last day of travel on it so thought something might have changed with the way the dates are calculated so tried buying a new monthly on the Northern App and it won't even let me buy one, I get the same A to B message on both apps (photo attached). The Trainline app comes up with an "Activate Pass" notice which it's never done before?? (Also attached)

Has anyone else got this? The ticket office cleared me for travel at Manchester Oxford Rd but expecting a faff at Bolton when I land shortly

I had the same problem on Trainline, but worked OK on Trainsplit. Also destination Bolton coincidentally.

Looks like you've bought a sTicket not an eTicket

sTickets are made using a glue adhesive, so you can stick them ("stick its") onto a durable surface, such as a train tray table

A sTicket needs to be enabled and can only be used in the App

There was some local publicity about these. Something to do with the barcode changing (daily ?) as an anti-fraud measure.
That makes sense...

Still can't access my (pick a random letter of the alphabet) ticket, still can't buy a new one even starting tomorrow, yet I was able to buy a single ticket on the Northern App... :?: Quite baffled by this now...
