Hoping someone can help me, I will be in Amsterdam this coming September, I was wondering if there is such a thing as, as platform ticket, so I can do a little spotting and take some photo’s ?

With OV-pay (e.g. contactless), you can check in and out again at the same station within an hour and you are not charged. So that's a de facto platform ticket.

Plaform tickets do not exist in the Netherlands. However, when you check out within 60 minutes of checking in at the same system you're charged nothing.

Some things to note when combining spotting with travelling: you're supposed to start your trip within 30 minutes of checking in (or with the first available train when there are no earlier departures). Checking out is possible until 6 hours after checking in.
