Can you buy dutch flyer tickets from Outside of East Anglia its just im Coming from Wigan and cant seem to find reasonably priced Wigan-Harwich International Tickets for Next Thursday Evening.

Also how long would it Take Euston-Liverpool st around 7pm at Night via varying modes of Transport? eg taxi tube etc

About 20mins, if you walk to Euston Square and take the tube direct to Liverpool Street. A few mins less (assuming you're lucky with connections) if you take the Northern line from Euston and change at Moorgate. About 35-40 mins on the 205 bus.

You may be able to get a ticket from Wigan to London International CIV +. This also allows you to make a cross London Transfer.

The dutchflyer ticket should be able to be purchased at any booking office that can do reservations otherwise book direct with the stena website & print your own reference - this ref. will act in lieu of a train ticket for the Liverpool Str. to Harwich portion.

The London International fare (to 5470 LONDON INTL(CIV) -LNE not 9934 LNDON ESTAR CIV - LOE) is £37.10 according to www.brfares.com. That's half the "ordinary" Offpeak return (and with fewer restrictions).

Getting in to Euston at 1913 you would miss the 1932 "boat train" but get a more civilised trip on the 2000 Norwich as far as Manningtree - fine so long as you dont mind the steps there. You would probably also avoid the worst of the check-in queue at Harwich (not that it's particularly bad!).

You still have an hour's leeway before the 2100/2102 departures which are the last to connect with the ferry. Enjoy your trip, it's my favourite route!

So is this a Wigan-London-Intl ticket and then i buy my dutch flyer ticket on top of this? so approx £120 plus cabin fees for the trip including my transport to Amsterdam?

Also on a related note does anyone know what cider Stena sell onboard (Norfolk Line sold Bulmers on the Liverpool Belfast route last time i used that and it was better than the rubbish i drank over there) (Hopefully Aspalls a local one.. is onboard) if its a brand i dont like i shall be bringing alot of Stowford Press or Aspalls for my trip as i heard i can only get strongbow over there which is simply not good enough

About that. I can't get any clarity about whether non-GA stations are allowed to sell it. The advertising just says GA stations or online, but then rail advertising is like that. I've made several enquiries to GA on the matter but recieved no reply

The Dutch Flyer deal is from any East Anglia station to any station in the Netherlands. Tickets are issued only by Stena. I find them very efficient, and they are received by first class post within 2 days.

Peterborough is an East Anglia station, and the Dutch Flyer is valid from there. Have you thought about connecting with the Liverpool - Norwich service from your part of the country to Peterborough. Then the Peterborough - Ipswich service and then on to Harwich.

I do this from Nottingham, and it saves the trip to London.

If you have not used Stena ferries before then you are in for a pleasant surprise. Everything about them is impressive.

Have you thought about connecting with the Liverpool - Norwich service from your part of the country to Peterborough. Then the Peterborough - Ipswich service and then on to Harwich.

All that way? I think I (and possibly a majority of others) would by far prefer to go via London to Ipswich, unless there is a massive price differential.

I don't think you can buy a Dutch Flyer ticket at stations outside of the GA area, but I wouldn't swear to it.

Allow a good 40 mins Euston to Liverpool St - a 5 - 10 min schelp round the corner to Euston Square and allow a margin for the Circle / H&C / Met Line - as thought the service is generally good with intervals of 2 /3 mins , it can go wrong occasionally.

Not valid on any train timed to depart London Euston before 0915

(2) London-Amsterdam is currently £79 including an inside single cabin but no meals.

(3) No idea on cider as I haven't used the bar, sorry. I fear you are optimistic asking for anything as superior as Aspalls but I'd be delighted to be disproved.

(4) I presume you have some sort of booking reference you can print off to show VT at Wigan?

PS @bb21. The problem with going via Manchester-Peterborough is journey time and connections - I would want to be on the 1745 off Peterborough not the 1945, and that means leaving Wigan around 1400 instead of 1700. Oh, and the only Advance fares are EC and connections via Donny so it's not even cheap....

Been told Virgin dont ask for any evidence of travelling further than London but thanks for your help ill be aboard the first departure after 3 from Wigan then in one of Eustons cider pubs til about 7ish unfortunately Virgin sell Bulmers on the trains to which is quite poor so will probably be on Stowford or Aspalls on the train/ferry
