That all depends on how old you are! When the Mk2's were in their prime they were in blue & grey and hauled by Deltics. By the time they made it into Virgin colours they were in terminal decline.

Can anyone confirm exactly how many mark2s are owned by Arriva Trains Wales, I've read various reports. I think it is either 16, 18, 22 or even 24.

Isnt there a set of MK2's in GNER livery used to film the latest harry potter movie around somewhere, or have they since been repainted/devinyled?

The coaches were actually from Carnforth - one (which was numbered 99716 in the filming) is actually 3416 and is apparently still in IC livery on the other side. I've no idea why it was numbered as 99716. One of the coaches was on view when I passed the WCRC depot on Monday

I think that the vehicles have since been de-vinyled. I believe that they are owned by Vintage Trains.
