I have a Farnborough stations to London terminals via any permitted season ticket.

Next month I am travelling to London in the morning then in the afternoon i need to travel to Basingstoke for an event i am attending.

The routing points which you can use Farnborough Main to London on the Any Permitted are Woking and Basingstoke.

When travelling to Basingstoke from London can I use my season ticket for this? If the train stops at Farnborough Main I am traveling from/to the station specified on the season ticket and then starting new journey from on a routed which is permitted between Farnborough Main to Paddington and breaking at a intermediate station Basingstoke on that route.

can I also use a service which does not stop at Farnborough main? Effectively to self-split as using both routes which it is valid and the lack of a requirement to stop at the hand over point on seasons but this seems be just over travelling on the London Waterloo Leg, if not can you turn it in at an actual split and use the season between London and Brookwood then Brookwood to Farnborough stations and then use the season again or would I have to have use Farnborough stations to Basingstoke to get a non-stoping service.

Would appreciate thoughts.

My understanding is that the only way you can travel non-stop through the original point on a season ticket is by buying a separate ticket for the extension.

Does an Any Permitted Farnborough to London Terminals season ticket really allow travel via Basingstoke? I appreciate you can go to Paddington but thought that was via Wokingham. Need to check.

I would be very surprised if via Basingstoke is a valid route for your ticket. The Any Permitted ticket is primarily intended to also permit travel from Farnborough North to Paddington via Reading, which is why this ticket is priced by GWR.

Looking at the Routeing Point calculator, it does seem that Basingstoke is a permitted route to London Paddington.

But not for long, if pricers read this thread!
I don't think the pricers would be particularly concerned, as the season ticket fare is broadly the same as that from Basingstoke to London Terminals.
