Burnley and pendle had some (supposed) dual purpose seddons, except they weren't. Coach seats on a bus, 38 mph flat out and if you did any distance at that rate then you got sparks out of the exhaust, they weren't even up to some of the bus routes and therefore were (supposedly) never sent to Colne depot.

To be fair, the Brits get it right on accessibility on requiring every local bus route in the UK to be low floor wheelchair accessible. No wonder why the current transport minister wants to make the UK become a leader in accessible transport with that video of of "It's everyone's journey". I think everywhere in the world should learn from the UK on how to get it right on accessibility issues and upload a video similar to the one of "It's everyone's journey". I am well aware that even step entrance coaches have wheelchair accessibility, as well as step entrance bus/coach hybrids such as Iveco Crossway, Mercedes Intouro or Setra S415UL, but, in my opinion, these are hardly an option (unless for coach hire, long distance trips, or short coach express limited stop services requiring a lot of luggage capacity such as National Express between London and Gatwick Airport, and even then, we should try and look out for a low entry coach if possible). Reason being, it leads to increased dwell times with the total use of the lift (both at the stop the wheelchair person gets on and the stop where the wheelchair person gets off) taking up to 5-10 minutes. And not only the lift, but also elderly will have difficulties trying to board step entrance buses, leading to increased journey times and potentially making the bus service unreliable. I even love all the premium brands such as Stagecoach Gold or Arriva Sapphire and I've always wondered why the Continental Europeans have never thought of upgrading interurban bus services with low floor buses (or bus/coach hybrids) with the comfort of a luxury coach (Whenever I go on a Stagecoach Gold bus I really feel I'm travelling onboard a coach, it's that comfortable!) and with these nice premium brands. This certainly would attract more passengers out of their cars and think about using public transport!

@ClydeCoaster About the Isle of Arran, I agree and disagree with you for some statements. Yes, Streetlites were not a suitable option for those routes (should have been Volvo B8RLE Wright Eclipse 3/MCV Evora/Sunsundegui SB3 Low Entry, or if they were ever made in UK version, Iveco Crossway LE / Setra S415 LE Business) as being equipped with a very small engine they are more suited to town/city work but since all the bus services there are local, short routes, I really find step entrance stuff unsuitable. Again, it will lead to increased journey times and make the service unreliable. And as I stated above, the elderly will have difficulties in trying to board.

@Everybody in the forum Here are the "It's everybody's journey" videos that you might be interested in taking a look at:
And maybe look at this from my local bus company https://www.metrobus.co.uk/everyones-journey/
