DSB Orange tickets on public holidays

I'm in Denmark later this week, planning some movements around the Copenhagen region on Thursday, which is a public holiday.

I'm seeing some "Orange" special price tickets - are these likely to be available on the day (since it's a holiday, without many commuters) or do they require advance booking?

It seems indeed the equiv of what you in GB call ´advance´ tickets-the longer advance and the less busy the service, the lower the price.
Sorry, dk if it is/may be still for sale on the day-it may depend on whether the allotted nr of tix has been sold -or not- already.
I also assume (but did not check thoroughly) that they are only available for trips OUT of the local ´Verbund=trafikregion´ (think PTE-old style), for from Copenhagen that pretty much means going off that island. Check HT for local area other offers-there will be daytickets etc. vary with nr of zones needed/used.

Orange tickets are on sale from around two months before travel and the earlier you get the cheaper they are likely to be. They are tied to a specific train, non-refundable and non-exchangeable. They are only available on a limited number of quieter trains.

Orange Fri are available on most trains and can be refunded up until around 30 minutes before departure.

S-Tog can be included in both as the first or last part of the journey. They are not valid in First and accompanying seat reservations are not refundable. Two brats under 12 can be taken with you for free, at least on the basic Orange.

They can be booked right up till departure, but they get more expensive every day and they also might sell out for that particular train.

Looking at the diagram, I would expect that which trains they are available on on a Bank Holiday would be adjusted to suit whichever day it was. On Mondays probably only until lunchtime, on Fridays possibly all day and on other days probably only in the early afternoon, if at all. (These are my guesses.)
