Drunks Causing Issues on Trains

If I'm working late Friday/Sat I sometimes stay in the office until the morning to avoid going home with drunks as its unsafe.

Really?

Seems a huge overreaction. Drunks may be unsociable at times but I can't say I have ever felt threatened by them.

I really don't think it's unsafe, annoying but not unsafe.

Ok, I thought by late you meant about 10 or 11 at night.

Most 'drunks' are not a problem and just want to get home though, its when the idiots get drunk that the problems start.

I caught the 1713 Bristol Temple Meads to Paignton service back in March, and found a guy ever so slightly wasted sat in my seat. I challenged him (before I realised he was drunk), but trying to get him to move was a difficult situation!

This will be a class 150/2 I expect. That door immediately behind the cab at each end is built as a passenger door, and when operating as a 4 car set (as an inner cab) will still function as a passenger door.

Unions however wanted the guard to have his own vestibule, so when they were a couple of years old 'private' was painted onto the outside and the electrics were altered.

I don't agree with it, personally.

I also think it is disgraceful to eject passengers in this manner and then leave them behind - whether they've had a drink or not.

Let us not forget that the main USP of trains and buses is that passengers can go have a drink then not worry about drinkdriving.

I go out and have a couple of drinks then get the train home but my behaviour is good, the guy who didn't travel wasn't and the guard obviously thought he was a risk, end of
