I thoroughly enjoyed it there, with the exception of the weather!

Fantastic selection of locos there, although where were all the 47's? 3 are with NXEA (802, 810 & 841), 2 were in Carlisle station on a charter (712 & 832), only 790 to be seen at the depot.

That aside, if anyone from DRS reads this and you helped organise today, well done and thank you for a fantastic day! Hopefully it can be done again next year (with better weather!).

Another good event staged by the DRS volunteers. Hopefully next year's DRS event (?at Gresty Bridge) will be up to the usual standard.
Just for Tottenham Flyer's benefit, the weather cleared up in the afternoon, two 47s would have been tied up on Northern Belle work (501 & 818 were thus employed on the preceding day) and the 47s from the charter actually made it on to the depot at about 13:30 with the stock.
How many visitors noticed the unofficial name applied to 57007?

Sorry to keep you in suspense - been away for a bit!
There is, in small, neatly applied white letters, the name "BOND" justs above one of the cabside running numbers of 57007. At the open day, the side with the name was not on display (i.e. the side facing away from 47790). However at least one guy clocked it and took a photo.
