Like I said in my original post I only failed on the very last question of the MMI (which in itself is national standard only). The first time I took the tests was for TPE and they didn't put me through for the computerised tests (they were running the tests over two days for some weird reason), but the OPC did confirm that i'd passed to national standard on the paper tests at least. With DRS they confirmed that I met DRS's standard on everything but just didn't hit the standard on that one MMI question, they said I have one life left but it'll have to be national standard only.
The MMI bit makes sense, but I'm confused as to why you can't take the tests again with a company that requires an enhanced standard. Obviously if you retook the tests then you run the risk that if you failed one of them, then that would be your 2 lives gone.
Maybe I'm being a bit thick, but its not something I've heard of before on here. I think I would just apply anyway and see what they say (if you haven't already done so of course!)
