Sorry if this has already been covered; I’ve looked through 3 pages of threads to see if there was anything but I don’t think there is!
I’m aware that some, or all of DRS’s 37s are being retired next year - a few are already up for sale, and I understand 407 had the most recent B exam so has the longest amount of time left, whereas 401 for example has already been withdrawn as its engine hours have run out.
Just wondering if anyone can provide any definitive info on the future of each loco - are any staying and if so for how long? Have any got a home earmarked?
Will their duties now be covered by 68s and 66s? I understand at least one RHTT route currently uses 37s due to weight restrictions - what will likely operate on those?
Thanks!
