Hello.
For those who drive these units, is it policy to drive a few mph under the speed limit to avoid speeding or do you manage the PBC to keep at 124/125mph on sections of the ECML that allow it?
Also, what are the rules LNER have in place, if any, for starting off at stations under normal adhesion? Is it step 1 to get moving, then steps 2, 3 and 4 when certain speeds have been reached?

They have a speedset, though TOC policy varies on usage.

Since various overspeed incidents, the speedset is permanently on and set to 125mph (it can be set lower but no higher), but drivers can choose to hold lower limits manually according to TOC policy as I understand it. Ergo, running at 125mph would simply be managed by the speedset, holding at approximately 124mph.

The TBC has no 'Steps' - power and braking is fully variable from the initial setting to max.
