Driving Instructor Interview

Hi all, I'm thinking about applying for a driving instructor role but I usually fall apart in interviews. I heard one of the questions is "what do you like about your current job?" (Currently I'm a train driver). How do you answer that in the context of a DI interview? Clearly you can't say you like working alone bearing in mind they'll be two of you in the cab. Any suggestions and any further information welcome.

You could say you enjoy having route learners with you, you enjoy keeping up to date with the latest changes to rules and procedures, you enjoy taking the time to help any new starters acclimatize to the depot. Also you enjoy doing the job to a high standard and that's something you want to pass on to others.

Is it not quite laid back having a DI interview? Mine was. After all they know you and in most instances will bite your arm off as never seem to be enough volunteers.

As long as you have the right attitude and a half decent record, you should be fine.
